Summary:

As a Professional Land Surveyor at Kapur and Associates, Inc., you will lead and oversee a wide range of land surveying services throughout Florida, ensuring the technical accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance of all survey deliverables. This role is responsible for the preparation, review, and certification of ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Plat of Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Certified Survey Maps (CSMs), boundary retracement surveys, and subdivision plates in accordance with statutes and professional standards.

You will provide professional oversight and direction to survey staff, manage project scopes, schedules, and client expectations, and serve as the licensed authority responsible for final survey documents. The position requires collaboration with engineers, architects, developers, title companies, municipalities, and internal project teams to support land development, transportation, municipal, and infrastructure projects.

Success in this role requires strong technical expertise in Florida surveying regulations, attention to detail in reviewing survey data and mapping, and the ability to guide projects from initial scope through final signed and sealed deliverables while maintaining Kapur’s commitment to quality and client service.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and certify a variety of survey deliverables including ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Plat of Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Certified Survey Maps (CSMs), subdivision plats, and boundary retracement surveys.
  • Ensure all survey documents meet Florida statutes, administrative code requirements, and applicable professional standards.
  • Provide professional oversight and mentorship to survey staff, including technicians and field crews.
  • Manage survey projects including scope development, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
  • Review survey data, plats, and mapping to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to final signing and sealing.
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, planners, developers, title companies, and municipal agencies.
  • Provide survey expertise to support land development, transportation, and municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Assist with proposal preparation, project planning, and client communication.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the State of Florida or ability to obtain licensure.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing ALTA/NSPS surveys, boundary surveys, plats of survey, CSMs, and topographic surveys.
  • Strong understanding of surveying statutes, administrative codes, and land records.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality.
  • Proficient with subdivision platting and land development projects.
  • Proficient with survey data processing and CAD platforms such as AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software.
  • Demonstrated leadership or team management experience.
